Systematic Approach
Systematic Approach to Equality and Diversity
At NHC the term “equality” must go beyond the idea of equal opportunity. It encapsulates a much wider range of college challenges. These include:
- Equality of Opportunity
- Equality of Access
- Equal treatment
- Equal representation
- Equality in Law
Our genuine commitment to diversity needs to be reflected in our employee profile, our curriculum offer and the range of provision we provide to meet diverse need
Discriminatory attitudes, harassment, sexism, homophobia, ageism, racism, Islam phobia and barriers to achievement can thrive in any urban or rural environment. At NHC we guard against institutional racism by employing external objective consultants to scrutinise our policy, practice and performance in order to ensure we are not unwittingly failing to provide an appropriate service to learners because of colour, culture or eternity. To scrutinise the college policies and reports of its Board, please go to Freedom of Information.
