Lee Patient - BTEC National Diploma IT Student

“Through my studies at NHC, I am now a step closer to realising my dream of developing my family's business. I have learnt that if you put in hard work the rewards will follow.”

Growing up I wanted to be an IT technician so I decided to study the BTEC National Diploma in IT at North Hertfordshire College. I am most proud of my advancement from specialist education in to mainstream and am thankful for the opportunities which NHC has given me.

Following successful completion of my course I am hoping to go onto study a foundation degree and eventually I hope to join my father in running our family business. My personal tutor Christina Morrissey and my inclusion assistant Pauline are the people that stand out the most when I think about NHC and the chance they have given me to start to reach my potential.

NHC has given me the confidence I needed to move forward and reach my goals and I would advise anyone that if you have the opportunity to do further studies take it.
