The new Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at NHC

The Enterprise Academy was founded by Peter Jones CBE in 2008 to nurture young entrepreneurial talent through further education, where young people can develop their business skills with the aim of setting up their own business.

NHC are pleased to be opening the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at our Enterprise centre in Hitchin.

Offering the BTEC level 2 Diploma in Understanding Enterprise and Entrepreneurship along with the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.

On these courses you will develop business skills, relevant to today’s fast moving environment.

You will explore the following units and develop a range of skills:

• The Entrepreneurial Mindset
• Creating a Vision for your Business Plan
• The Business Environment
• Researching your Market
• The Marketing Plan
• Financial Modelling and Forecasting
• Preparing and Pitching a Business Plan
• Leadership and Teamwork
• Toolkits for Idea Generation
• Managing Personal Finances
• Enterprise in the Workplace

Local jewellery designer and ex NHC student, Alyssa Smith, is the Enterprise Academy’s Entrepreneur in Residence. Alyssa will be on hand to mentor students with their business ideas, drawing from her own experience of starting her own online jewellery design business.
