Monday 31st August saw another busy enrolment day, this time located at the Hitchin centre. The Hitchin centre hosts Travel & Tourism, Sports and Public Services courses as well as Higher Education.
It was an early start for some students with college doors opening at 8.30am. The main enrolment took place in main Hitchin hall where the large projector screen showed a slideshow of enrichment activities to give new students a taste of college life.
Students enrolling were a mixture of new students and those returning for their second year. Brothers Connor and Sacha Heath were both new to college, enrolling on the Public Services programme. Connor said “I’m excited about coming to college, I am already in the Police cadets and I hope to eventually join the Police force which is why I chose this course.”
Bethany Stroud, Jade Camp and Abbie Long were all enrolling onto their second year of the Travel and Tourism course. Bethany said “I’ve enjoyed my first year of college and made lots of new friends, after I’ve finished my course I hope to work at the airport check in desk.”
NHC would like to say a big thank you to all students and parents for your patience. We look forward to seeing all students at the Freshers Fair, Friday 3rd September, 10 o’clock at the Hitchin centre.
