The North Hertfordshire College catchment area has a population of around 116,908 residents (Census 2001)
The local gender profile reflects that of the national profile with 49% males and 51% females
13.8% of the population are from Black & Minority Ethnic (BME)communities
Statistics (Census 2001 data) show that across the Stevenage and North Hertfordshire Districts around 18% of the population are disabled, with around 15% of disabled people having a ‘limiting long term illness’
