The Art, Design and Media department at NHC provides a wide range of full time and part time provision in areas such as Graphic Design, Fine Art, Printmaking, Photography, Textiles, Fashion, Ceramics, Sculpture, 3D Design and Contextual Studies.

The CFA has its own gallery where learners have the opportunity to exhibit their work.

The new and improved Energize salons at Stevenage and the CFA provide state of the art learning environments for learners on beauty therapy courses at NHC.

Learning in a professional environment, whilst practicing skills on paying clients gives learners a real sense of working in the beauty therapy industry.

There is a growing demand for multi-skilled individuals within the international catering and hospitality industry. Qualified professionals can earn high salaries but work very hard to combine creativity and imagination.

At NHC we have excellent teaching staff with many years of experience who can develop learners' skills in our working kitchens.

Our brand new contemporary restaurant at the CFA, allows learners to perfect their skills providing diners with high quality dishes, whilst giving learners the experience what working in the industry will be like.

As well as excellent facilities and equipment, the college also has good links with local industry and many learners go on to do placements and often work in top quality restaurants.

Hairdressing learners at NHC are able to practice their skills in the brand new Enhance state of the art salons based at the CFA and Stevenage centres.

Learners can choose from a wide range of full and part time courses including Hair and Beauty for the media industries.

The Performing Arts area consists of dance, acting, musical theatre, popular music and music technology.

Courses available develop a wide range of performance and technical skills which are supported by the study of historical and contemporary practice.
