Is this course for me?The Diploma stage is the final year of the course. It aims to train students in a more practical application of accounting activities and scenarios than they would receive on a more formal accountancy course. Students will progress to a higher level of financial study as well as being introduced to further aspects of Costing upon which all financial decisions are based, to assist them in the work-place as well as preparing them in the basics for the final year of the course. |
What qualifications or skills will I need to have to get on the courses? The people who would benefit from studying AAT at this level would be those already working in Accountancy practice as well as those involved in the Finance Departments in Private and Public sectors of industry, who have passed the Intermediate level of the course. |
What does the course involve? The course has a range of options open to study which are:
• Plus a Management Accounting Systems Project (MASPE) • Business Taxation (BTC) • Personal Taxation (PTC)
The core subjects which must be studied are:
• Drafting Financial Statements (DFS) • Management Accounting (MAC) |
What options will be open to me if I successfully complete the course?Students passing the full AAT qualification will be given exemptions from future study on CIMA and ACCA qualifications. |
