What does the course involve?The Foundation Diploma offers an exciting and challenging programme of study across a broad range of disciplines to enable learners to make informed decisions in preparation for progression to Higher Education in Art & Design.
Learners will have full access to all specialist studio workshops, including the 3D workshop, Digital Media, Fine Art, Fashion/Textiles, Photography, Print and Visual Studies.
The programme consists of nine units of study which form three stages : Exploratory, Pathway and Confirmatory. This structure supports the progressive development of each learner – particularly in terms of independent and self-reliant learning.
Pathway units enable learners to extend their studies within the context of one of the specialist areas of Fine Art, 3 Dimensional Design, Visual Communication or Fashion & Textiles in anticipation of an application to Higher Education. |
