What is a Personal Adviser?
Personal Advisers are:
- Someone you can talk things through with
- Someone who will listen and carers about what you think and feel
- Someone who will help you deal with today and plan for tomorrow
They are happy to discuss anything with you, from education and career options to personal problems including drugs, bullying and homelessness.
You might meet with them just once or possibly see them again over a period of time, but anything that you discuss will be treated as confidential, and information will not be disclosed without clear consent, unless in exceptional circumstances, it is felt that there is a serious risk to the individual or to others.
