Students from the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy along with Foundation Degree Business and IT students have attended ex Dragon’s Den star Doug Richards’ Web Fuelled Business boot camp.
The one day boot camp conference was designed to give entrepreneurs, small business owners and anyone considering launching a website, an insight into utilizing the web to increase sales.
Entrepreneur Doug Richards spoke about how to get your website visible on google as well as attracting customers via online advertising and utilising social media. Ex Amazon executive, James Dening gave advice about setting up and running a successful ecommerce website.
Peter Jones Enterprise Academy student Tikeya Holloway commented: “We learnt about the negative side of social media as well as the positive and it was great to meet other people on the same path as us.”
Foundation Degree Business student Melissa Nice added: “It was interesting to see how you can use the internet to promote your products.”
