The StartUp Britain Bus Tour rolled into the Stevenage Centre this week packed with the very best business advice, and with entrepreneurs and local business owners on hand to deliver exclusive mentoring sessions to the students.
The StartUp Britain bus is currently on a nationwide tour sponsored by the Gazelle Colleges Group, over 100 NHC students boarded the bus at the Stevenage Centre, finding out about the free .co domain names available to students and the new StartUp loans available from the government.
Student Ella Brabnick said: “My aim is to eventually run my own beauty salon and today on board the StartUp Britain bus I was able to learn who I needed to speak to and shown how to draw up a business plan.”
Chris McLean, Deputy Principal of North Hertfordshire College added: “The StartUp Britain Bus is an outstanding opportunity for our students to engage with the increasingly important entrepreneurial agenda. It has provided resources for employment opportunities and sound advice to students of ours who are looking to start a business.”
