Level 2 Art and Design students had a visit this week from Jessica Rose Princeton, owner of Hitchin’s independent vintage clothes store Rosita Lollipop.
Jessica visited the students to share her experiences on setting up and running the business as well as showing the students range of vintage clothing and prints to help with inspiration for their 70s and 80s themed projects this term.
Art and Design student Rachel Bilsland explained: “On this course we cover subjects including fashion, textiles, art history, photography and product design. This term we are working on two 70s and 80s themed projects, to print designs onto t shirts and to create a trash to treasure outfit from recycled materials.”
The students completed projects will be on display at the Letchworth Arts 70s and 80s themed Festival on Broadway Gardens on 17th and 18th November.
