College festival kicks off the autumn term in style

Over 2000 students enjoyed fairground rides, live music, stalls, a barbeque and more at the North Hertfordshire College Freshers’ Festival 2012. As well as getting to know each other and having fun, students found out about sports clubs, employment and enterprise opportunities available to them at NHC.

Students’ Union Sabbatical president Peter Wheatley explained: “Freshers’ Festival is a fantastic start to the year; we’ve got so much to look forward to this year from trips, parties, competitions and events to students starting up their own businesses and social enterprises within the local community.

Student Voice will also play an increasingly important role this year as students have the opportunity to influence the way the college is run via events such as Student Parliament, Student Conference and Principal’s Question Time.”

Students have spent this induction week being introduced to college life but it’s not too late to join them, you can still enrol onto a wide range of courses.
