Peter Jones Enterprise Academy student Jemma Barker has officially launched her business MiniPres’; a clothing range for children aged from two up to thirteen years old, with a catwalk fashion show to exhibit the clothing.
Jemma explained: “I decided to arrange the fashion show to give potential customers a chance to have an insight into what MiniPres' can offer them, we aim to offer the latest fashions whilst keeping the prices as low as possible.
Studying the Level 3 Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Jemma has spent time at college working on her business, as well as having the opportunity to attend guest speaker sessions and gain business advice.
“One thing that has motivated me the most through organising the whole event, is a quote I heard from one of our guest speakers,” said Jemma. “That was 'Don't give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about' because sure enough MiniPres' is my life! The fashion show went really well the people who attended liked our business aim as well as the stock we had available.”
Jemma is currently working on her website but you can contact her via twitter @Jemzeee.
