At NHC you can study for a degree right on your doorstep!
We offer a range of Foundation Degrees validated by the University of Hertfordshire, and one by the University of Bedfordshire. Depending on the subject you choose your course will be studied at either our Stevenage or Hitchin Campuses. We offer a supportive environment where all programmes are delivered by well–qualified and experienced tutors with links to industry, who will help students to develop their full potential.
Our campuses have good transport access, and are 5 minutes walk in each case from the main line train-link from London Kings Cross (approx 25/30 minutes by fast train).
Students have full access to university facilities and resources, as well as resources at NHC.

Full-time Foundation Degrees
Our full time Foundation Degrees take two years to complete. Should you wish to continue your studies once you have achieved your Foundation Degree, there is the option to progress onto the 2nd or 3rd year of an Honours degree at the University.
Please note all full time Degree courses must be applied for via UCAS. UCAS course codes for individual courses are shown on the profiles.
Extended Degrees
We also offer an Extended Degree Science (Year 0). This University of Hertfordshire validated course takes one year to complete. Once successful, you would then be able to continue on to Year 1 of your Degree at the University of Hertfordshire, choosing from a range of related specialist subjects.
Part-time Foundation Degrees
If you prefer, a number of our Foundation Degrees are available to study on a part-time basis. Part-time degrees also take two years to complete but are delivered over three semesters per year. The academic year would finish in August.

Tuition fees are paid directly to the Institution from Student Loans Company; maintenance payments are made in instalments directly to the student.
Repayment does not start until the April following the end of your study and then only when earning £21,000 at a current rate of 9% of the difference (for example, if you earn £22,000 your monthly repayments taken at source via PAYE would be £7.50 per month). All loans are written off after 30 years.
